Lori Harwell
Owner, Harwell Designs/Boutique
Lori opened Harwell Designs in
Vilonia, where she lives with her
family. She is married to Kevin, and
they have two children, daughter Baylea
and son Brandon; they also have their
“little yorkie, The Razz.”
Lori grew up in Conway and attended
the University of Central Arkansas. She
loves living and working in Faulkner
County and would never want to be
anywhere else. “The people in Faulkner
County are the best. We always knew
we wanted to work and raise our family
where we grew up, and we have.”
She attributes the success of her boutique
to “The Good Lord, hard work, integrity,
and the support of my family,” she says.
Harwell Designs offers women’s clothing,
shoes, and accessories. Lori’s goal is to
help women look and feel their best.
She is active on the Boys and Girls Club
of Faulkner County board and in the
Vilonia community. In fact, they are
currently raising funds for local schools.
As for her advice to those starting out,
Lori shares a Roy T. Bennett quote,
“Listen with curiosity. Speak with
honesty. Act with integrity.”

Whitney Long
Mortgage Loan Originator at First Service Bank
Whitney, a mortgage loan originator at First
Service Bank, moved to Faulkner County in
2010 when she married, and has lived here
ever since. She and her husband, Ryan, have one son,
Harrison, who is three years old. Whitney attributes
her success first and foremost to the blessings of God,
as well as working hard and serving well.
Of what she most enjoys about living and working
in Faulkner County, Whitney says, “I love that in
Faulkner County you can experience a small town
feel and closeness in a community, but still have the
amenities (shopping, restaurants, entertainment,
culture) of larger metropolitan areas.”
In addition to riding horses in her
spare time, Whitney is involved
in many ways in the community.
I am very involved in my church,
The Church Alive. I also serve on
the Haven House board. Through
our mortgage department we are
involved in many community
events and support as
many of the local nonprofit
organizations that we can,”
she says.
Whitney’s advice to
those just starting out
is, “Work hard, dream
big and believe God!”
