The Autotech team includes specialist<br />
European car mechanic Dan and<br />
apprenticeMatt,who is being trainedon<br />
all the intricacies of European models.<br />
‘‘It’s Dan’s forte. He loves the European<br />
cars and he ownsaEuropean car, so he’s<br />
rightinto it,’’ Nicole says.<br />
‘‘They are veryunique in the way they’re<br />
made,but Dan has beendoing it for along<br />
time.He’s got alot of experience and he<br />
likesdealing with the people. He’s really<br />
good at explainingitinlayman’s terms.’’<br />
Dan trainedonEuropean cars and is<br />
familiar with issuesfor different makes.<br />
Computersystems on the cars can make<br />
them more complicated than other makes,<br />
such as Toyota, but the diagnostic gear at<br />
Autotech can unlock mostmysteries.<br />
‘‘It’sthe closest thing you get to the<br />
factory equipment, so we can do pretty<br />
much everything,’’ Dansays. ‘‘I like<br />
everything about them(European cars).<br />
They are justbetter.Better design, better<br />
build and better quality, and they’re just<br />
bettertodrive.<br />
‘‘The thoughtprocess that’sgone into<br />
designing themhas beentop notch.’’<br />
Nicolesays the Covid19 situation means<br />
there can be adelay in getting parts from<br />
Europe. ‘‘It can take aminimum of two<br />
weeks to getparts fromFrance, but we do<br />
have free loan carsand we don’t mind<br />
loaning them for that twoweek wait.<br />
‘‘We try to make it as easy for people as<br />
we can so they’renot inconvenienced.’’<br />
