The cancellation of the Canterbury A&P Show was the<br />
catalyst for Rāwhiti School holding its own end-ofyear<br />
fun day event last week. The Rāwhiti A&P Show<br />
Learning Celebration encouraged pupils to learn<br />
about gardening and the environment with hands-on<br />
activities and games. The school’s main hall was a hive<br />
of activity as judges deliberated over cakes and baking,<br />
flower and dried flower artworks, pet photo and video<br />
entries. Challenges included garden ornaments and<br />
art categories, make your own scarecrow and recycled<br />
bottles greenhouse designs.<br />
