Cilji:<br />

Predmet je namenjen seznanitvi z izzivi moralnega relativizma<br />

in anti-realizma. Študenti/-ke spoznajo različne razloge za<br />

zavračanje ideje o eni sami moralni resnici oz. Eni sami<br />

resnični morali, skupaj s strategijami, ki so pri zavrnitvi<br />

relativistične grožnje na razpolago zagovornikom objektivne<br />

normativnosti morale.<br />

Predvideni študijski rezultati:<br />

Znanje in razumevanje:<br />

• Sposobnost razumeti zapletene in problematične<br />

pojme, kot so realnost, objektivnost in resnica<br />

• Sposobnost razumeti in oceniti domet relativističnega<br />

izziva moralnemu realizmu<br />

• Poznavanje razlogov in argumentov za moralni<br />

relativizem<br />

• Poznavanje razlik in podobnosti med skepticizmom in<br />

relativizmom<br />

• Sposobnost razumeti in ovrednotiti realistične<br />

odgovore relativistom in skepticistom<br />

Prenesljive/ključne spretnosti in drugi atributi:<br />

• Spretnosti komuniciranja: sodelovanje v razpravah v<br />

seminarju, pisanje in ustna predstavitev seminarske<br />

naloge.<br />

• Uporaba informacijske tehnologije: iskanje informacij na<br />

svetovnem spletu.<br />

• Delo v skupini: razprava po skupinah..<br />

Metode poučevanja in učenja:<br />

• branje in analiza filozofskih besedil<br />

• Izdelava in predstavitev seminarskih nalog<br />

• usmerjevana razprava<br />

Objectives:<br />

The aim of the course is to introduce students into the<br />

philosophical challenge posed by moral relativism and antirealism.<br />

The students become familiar with, and so can better<br />

appreciate, different motives for denying the existence of a<br />

single moral truth, or single true morality. They also learn about<br />

the argumentative strategies available to moral realists and<br />

objectivists in response to this challenge.<br />

Intended learning outcomes:<br />

Knowledge and Understanding:<br />

• Ability to understand complex and contested notions<br />

like reality, objectivity and truth<br />

• ability to understand and appreciate the force of the<br />

relativist challenge to moral realism<br />

• knowledge of reasons and arguments in support of<br />

moral relativism<br />

• knowledge of similarities and differences between<br />

moral scepticism and relativism<br />

• ability to understand and appreciate realist rebuttal of<br />

both relativist and sceptical challenge<br />

Transferable/Key Skills and other attributes:<br />

• Communication skills: participation in the discussions in<br />

seminar, writing and oral representation of seminar work.<br />

• Use of information technology: searching of informations on<br />

the web.<br />

• Working in a group: group discussions.<br />
