Glavni smoter <strong>predmeta</strong> je v spoznavanju<br />

poglavitnih filozofskih tem predmoderne evropske<br />

filozofije in hkrati v prepoznanju pomena antične in<br />

srednjeveške filozofske tradicije. Pozornost bo<br />

osredotočena na obravnavo temeljnih filozofskih<br />

problemov od predsokratikov do Akvinskega skozi<br />

analizo argumentov, predvsem tistih, ki so odigrali<br />

pomembnejšo vlogo v zgodovini filozofije. Študenta<br />

se ob tem navaja na samostojno interpretativno<br />

delo ob antičnih temah in analitično branje tekstov.<br />

Predvideni študijski rezultati:<br />

Znanje in razumevanje:<br />

• Študent pridobi znanja iz filozofij in<br />

filozofske metode od predsokratikov do<br />

Akvinskega, ki mu ponujajo uvid in<br />

razumevanje problemov iz tega obdobja<br />

zgodovine filozofije.<br />

• Študent pridobi kompetence za samostojno<br />

razmišljanje o teh problemih in prenašanje<br />

znanja ali poučevanje.<br />

Prenesljive/ključne spretnosti in drugi atributi:<br />

• Sposobnost prepoznati središčne pojme in<br />

teme v filozofiji antičnega in srednjega<br />

veka.<br />

• Sposobnost razumevanja razvoja in<br />

napredka antičnih in srednjeveških<br />

filozofskih tradicij.<br />

• Sposobnost podrobne razlage in primerjave<br />

različnih besedil pri avtorjih.<br />

• Sposobnost uporabljati in razumeti<br />

filozofsko terminologijo.<br />

Metode poučevanja in učenja:<br />

Poudarek ni le za formalni izvedbi predavanj,<br />

temveč tudi na interaktivnih poučevalnih strategijah,<br />

kot so skupinske razprave in individualno delo<br />

doma. Študente se vzpodbuja, da na teh debatah<br />

raziskujejo probleme in nadgrajujejo svoje<br />

The main objective of this course is to introduce<br />

students into main philosophical topics of premodern<br />

European philosophy and to facilitate recognition of<br />

the significance of ancient and medieval philosophy.<br />

The course follows the presentation of the most<br />

crucial philosophical problems from Presocratics to<br />

Aquinas through analyzing the arguments, paying<br />

attention to those playing substantial role in the<br />

history of philosophy. Students will be accustomed to<br />

work autonomously on interpretation of philosophical<br />

issues as well as analytical reading of texts.<br />

Intended learning outcomes:<br />

Knowledge and Understanding:<br />

• Student gains knowledge of basic<br />

philosophical issues and methods from<br />

Presocratics do Aquinas, which helps him to<br />

understand the problems and its solutions<br />

from this period in history of philosophy.<br />

• Student develops his competences for<br />

individual thinking about these issues and<br />

transferring the knowledge or teaching<br />

others.<br />

Transferable/Key Skills and other attributes:<br />

• Ability to grasp some of the central concepts<br />

and themes of philosophy in the ancient and<br />

medieval world.<br />

• Ability to comprehend the development and<br />

progression of the ancient and medieval<br />

philosophical traditions.<br />

• Ability for careful interpretations and<br />

comparison of variety of texts in<br />

philosophical authors.<br />

• Ability to use and comprehend philosophical<br />

terminology.<br />

Learning and teaching methods:<br />

The focus is not just toward formal lectures but also<br />

interactive teaching strategies, such as group<br />

sessions, debate and individual home work.<br />

Students will be encouraged to use these sessions<br />

for problem exploration, discussion and the<br />
