However, see also 47 U.S.C. 398(b)(l) which provides "Equal
opportunity in employment shall be afforded to all persons by
the Public Broadcasting Service and National Public Radio (or
any successor organization) and by all public telecomnuni-
cations entities receiving funds pursuant to subpart C
(hereinafter in this subsection referred to as 'recipients')"
in accordance with the equal employment opportunity regulations
of the Consnission, and no person shall be subjected to
discrimination in employment by any recipient on the grounds of
race, color, religion, national origin, or sex." It is by thrs
provision that Congress has imposed on the recipients of funds
from CPB the equivalent to the concept found in Title 6 of the
Civil Rights Act of 1964. In addition, CPB's own EEO and
affirmative action policies guarantee these same protections to
CPB employees and applicants for employment at CPB.)
