FELLOWSHIPS / SCHOLARSHIPS FOR RESEARCH SCHOLARS<br />
A. Fellowships<br />
<strong>University</strong> Grants Commission offers Research Fellowships (Junior and Senior) for<br />
Research Scholars in Arts and Sciences. Research Fellowships for Science Scholars<br />
are offered by the following agencies also.<br />
1. Council of Scientific and Industrial Research(C.S.I.R.)<br />
2. Department of Atomic Energy,Government of India(D.A.E.)<br />
3. Indian Council of Medical Research (I.C.M.R.)<br />
4. Indian Space Research Organisation (I.S.R.O.)<br />
5. Indian Council of Agricultural Research (I.C.A.R.)<br />
6. Indian Council of Philosophical Research (I.C.P.R.)<br />
7. Indian Council of Historical Research (I.C.H.R.)<br />
8. Indian Council of Social Science Research (I.C.S.S.R.)<br />
Research scholarships for research in Sanskrit are offered by Rashtriya Sanskrit<br />
Samsthan.<br />
Fellowships from SEAP Studies<br />
In the Centre for South East Asian and Pacific Studies, three Junior Fellowships and<br />
one Senior Fellowship are available for research on topics relating to the States of<br />
Indo-China.<br />
B. Endowment Scholarships<br />
1. Mary Clarke Memorial : For Ph.D.Research Scholar in<br />
Bursary the Dept. of Home Science.<br />
Conditions to receive Scholarships<br />
1. To receive any scholarship, the student has to put in compulsorily 75% of attendance.<br />
2. Scholarships will be awarded as per the rules of the awarding Agencies. Hence<br />
applying for any scholarship shall not be claimed by the student as a right to get it.<br />
Submission of the application for a scholarship does not guarantee the award of<br />
scholarship. The <strong>University</strong> will not be responsible for the award of scholarships.<br />
3. It is binding on the part of the different scholarship holders like SC/ST/ LBC/EPP, etc.,<br />
to fulfil all the conditions stipulated by the Government/ awarding agencies concerned.<br />
Some of the rules and regulations stipulated by the Central Government with regard<br />
to S.C. Scholarship holders and by the Andhra Pradesh Government with regard to EPP<br />
Scholarship holders are furnished for the guidance of students.<br />
Scholarships for S.V.U. College of Engineering<br />
Scholarships which have income limit<br />
1. State Social Welfare Scholarships to students of BC and EPP (actual mess<br />
charges and pocket money)<br />
Eligibility: Annual income should be below Rs. 12,000/-<br />
2. Government of India, Social Welfare /Tribal Welfare Scholarships to SCs and<br />
STs (actual mess charges and pocket money)<br />
Eligibility: Annual income should be below Rs. 59,920/-<br />
3. A.P. State Merit Scholarship<br />
Selected by A.P. Govt on the basis of Intermediate marks<br />
Income should be below Rs. 6000/- p.a.<br />
4. National Merit Scholarship<br />
Continuous from intermediate / B.Sc.<br />
5. General Merit Scholarship (Andhra Area)<br />
Income should be below Rs.12,000/- p.a.<br />
Scholarships Irrespective of Income Limit<br />
1. A.P. State Special Merit Scholarship (Prathibha)<br />
The student who secures top rank in intermediate is<br />
selected by A.P. Govt. irrespective of parental income limit.<br />
2. A.P. State Educational Loan for Engineering Students.<br />
3. Scholarships for Children of Ex- Servicemen.<br />
4 Scholarships for the children of Teachers.<br />
5. Scholarships for the children of Sufferers<br />
6. Scholarships for the children of Govt. Servants.<br />
7. Scholarships to Destitute Orphans.<br />
8. Scholarships to the physically Handicapped Students.<br />
9. Departmental Scholarships such as Postal, Railways etc., and other<br />
Agencies.<br />
10. S.J. Jindal Scholarships.<br />
