A liquid diet is super easy for when you can’t eat solid foods.<br />
It’s also great for when you have those endless appointments<br />
and have to get up early. I need a good hour and over a litre of<br />
water with every meal, so if I have an early hospital appointment<br />
then I have absolutely no chance of being able to eat something<br />
decent, unless I get up at stupid o’clock. Smoothies and shakes<br />
are a good go-to meal. I’ve worked out recipes to be manageable<br />
on the throat, flavoursome, and also full of protein, which is key<br />
for recovery.<br />
I started off with a Breville Blend Active blender, but it died through<br />
overuse. I spoke to several friends about what their choice of<br />
blender was, and the majority said Nutribullet is great as it holds a<br />
good volume of liquid and it’s easy to clean. I did a bit of research<br />
into it and discovered that it’s great for crushing ice, blending cold<br />
soup (not good for warm liquids as they warm up in the blender<br />
slightly and cause a vacuum, which once released, causes the<br />
liquid to go everywhere), making hummus etc.<br />
