Whilst I was watching some food<br />
programmes, the chefs were making<br />
canapés and I realised just how<br />
delightfully small they are. Whilst the<br />
canapés weren’t on my menu, the<br />
concept of small bites made me think<br />
about what I can do to make eating<br />
enjoyable and not too much of a<br />
chore.<br />
My diet was still pretty much nutrition<br />
shakes and smoothies, so there was<br />
a lot of sweetness going on. I really<br />
wanted something small and savoury<br />
that would almost melt in my mouth.<br />
INGREDIENTS<br />
METHOD<br />
• 100g paté of choice (keep it smooth<br />
for your first go)<br />
• 2 slices of cucumber, thinly sliced<br />
and cut into quarters<br />
• 1 cherry tomato, halved<br />
• Chutney of your choice<br />
Cut the paté into chunks and place on a plate.<br />
With the back of a teaspoon, push the centre of each paté chunk so that there is a dip.<br />
Now it’s up to you what you fill the dip with.<br />
You can add a small dollop of chutney, a cherry tomato half and a quarter of cucumber.<br />
Mix up the toppings so that you have different combinations.<br />
You can also change the toppings to suit your tastes. I’ve used a variety of different<br />
topping combinations.<br />
