Longer days, warmer nights and the optimism
that comes with this season, gives us a new
boost when it comes to the property market.
Despite our recent lockdown, Christchurch still managed to
record an incredible volume of sales. REINZ data shows that
sale numbers almost matched August 2019, before Covid
hit. It’s reassuring to know that this period has not deterred
buyers or sellers from the market, and that they still hold
confidence in the process.
In such an unpredictable time, given the current pandemic,
Harcourts Holmwood have implemented new systems and
processes that will give you confidence no matter what
end of the property journey you are on. As we have always

Christmas is also just around the corner, which plays
a huge role. The summer holidays are a real marker
in the sand for us Kiwis, and many buyers will be fuelled
by a desire to be ensconced in their new home by
mid-December. This could help expedite the negotiation
process. We’re simply conditioned to buy at this time of
the year. Spring brings with it a willingness to embrace
change which sees buyers enter the market with a real
sense of commitment and resolve.
