HUMPHREY<br />

Linda Lou Humphrey, 72, of Sedalia died<br />

on Oct. 16, <strong>2021</strong>, in Adena Regional Medical<br />

Center, Chillicothe.<br />

Born on Dec. 12, 1948, in Detroit, Mich.,<br />

she was a daughter of Robert and Elizabeth<br />

(Wease) Forsythe.<br />

Linda grew up in Farmington Hills,<br />

Mich., and graduated from Farmington<br />

Hills High School in the Class of 1967. She<br />

relocated to Ohio in the 1970s and worked<br />

her way through nursing schools while raising<br />

two sons. Linda graduated from Marion<br />

Tech in June of 1982 and went on to spend<br />

nearly 40 years in nursing. Her passions included<br />

spending time with her sons, Nathan<br />

and Robert, and caring for her patients. She<br />

also adored spoiling her granddaughter,<br />

Haley, and doing everything with her fourlegged<br />

companion, Michelle.<br />

She is survived by: her husband, Everett<br />

Humphrey; son, Nathan Williams of Columbus;<br />

granddaughter, Haley Williams;<br />

brother-in-law, Norman Humphrey; and numerous<br />

cousins.<br />

Linda was preceded in death by her parents<br />

and son, Robert Williams.<br />

Calling hours and funeral services were<br />

held on Oct. 21 at Sedalia Church of Christ<br />

in Christian Union with Rev. Gordon Ell officiating.<br />

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests<br />

donations in Linda’s name be made to<br />

the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.<br />

The family was served by Eberle-Fisher<br />

Funeral Home and Crematory, London.<br />

MARSCH<br />

Melodie W. Marsch, 79, of London died<br />

on Oct. 16, <strong>2021</strong>, in her residence. Born on<br />

Sept. 26, 1942, in Blair County, Pa., she was<br />

a daughter of George and Edna (Detsch)<br />

Wood.<br />

Melodie worked as a teacher for Columbus<br />

City Schools for over 30 years, where<br />

she also served as a union representative.<br />

She was also a long-time patron of the Red<br />

Brick Tavern.<br />

Survivors include: her husband, Dan Pa-<br />

tridge; stepdaughters, Stephanie Patridge and Beth Patridge;<br />

grandchildren, Kandice Patridge, Quamé Patridge, Aniecia Patridge,<br />

and Macy Pannell; great-grandchildren, Seniya Patridge,<br />

Kaelyn Patridge, Suha Aburayyan, and Trayvin Moorer; brother,<br />

George (Eileen) Wood; sister, Elinda (Bo) Rees; nieces and nephews,<br />

January (Chad) Reilley, Anthony Tesi, Addison Tesi, Dawn Ivanov,<br />

Dale Weaver and Suzanne Masters.<br />

Melodie was preceded in death by: her parents; first husband,<br />

Fred Marsch; and sister, Pat Moore.<br />

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 30 at Eberle-Fisher<br />

Funeral Home and Crematory, London, with Pastor Kenneth Burks<br />

officiating.<br />

The family suggests that memorials in Melodie’s name be made<br />

to the Humane Society of <strong>Madison</strong> County, 2020 State Rte. 142 NE,<br />

West Jefferson, OH 43162.<br />

McCAIN<br />

Susan (Bean) McCain, 72, died on Oct. 16, <strong>2021</strong>, of complications<br />

from heart disease. Born on April 12, 1949, she was the only child<br />

of Howard and Bernice (Littler) Bean.<br />

A lifelong resident of Plumwood, Ohio, she attended Jonathan<br />

Alder High School, graduating in 1967. Susan then attended Ohio<br />

State University, where she was a member of the women’s basketball<br />

team and earned a degree in physical education. She later acquired<br />

a masters in education at the University of Dayton. She<br />

taught physical education in the <strong>Madison</strong>-Plains Local School District<br />

for several years and went on to teach phys ed and computer<br />

science in the Jefferson Local School District until her retirement.<br />

She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved aunts, uncles<br />

and cousins. Susan is survived by her devoted cousin and caregiver,<br />

Beverly Littler, as well as cousins<br />

,Cheryl Vornbrock, Linda Gerke, Deandra<br />

Carver, Michelle Littler, Scott Littler,<br />

Kathy Wilson, Jo Wilson, John Wilson,<br />

Julie Thompson, and their respective families.<br />

Susan loved animals, especially her dogs<br />

and horses. She was also an avid fan of the<br />

Ohio State Buckeyes.<br />

A graveside service to honor Susan was<br />

set for 11 a.m. Oct. 23 at Plumwood Cemetery.<br />
