Avonhead School pupils are the young quiz masters
PUPILS IN the Western News
area have come out on top in
a national quiz competition
grilling contestants on their
general knowledge.
The ODT Extra! Current
Events Quiz took place last
week, with more than 1000
teams of three participating in

at the heart of its mission.

bottle is donated to a specific
charity it represents, with colours
or slogans to match.

presence selling drink bottles
online which supports its three

with pupils placing second in

This year’s Regional Awards
were held online with an
audience of 183 tuned into the
YouTube livestream, including
groups of teams, teachers, family
and friends, all keen to celebrate
the students’ 2021 YES journey.
Winning teams will go on
to represent their regions in
the YES National Finals on
December 15, also due to take
place online.
