Entry requirements<br />
> Secure an Accountancy apprenticeship vacancy.<br />
> You will need to attend an interview.<br />
> Grades requirements will be set by the employer,<br />
but typically include 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above,<br />
including grade 4 or above in English & maths.<br />
> You must pass an initial assessment in English &<br />
maths.<br />
About the apprenticeship<br />
An Accounts Assistant is an integral part of the team<br />
responsible for maintaining efficient and accurate<br />
finances within a business. With responsibility for<br />
assisting the accounts team with junior duties;<br />
depending on the team structure and size of<br />
business your tasks may vary and could include<br />
basic bookkeeping activities, working with sales &<br />
purchase ledgers, running calculations to ensure<br />
correct records & payments, as well as the recording<br />
of cash & data entry.<br />
During the apprenticeship you will be required<br />
to pass the AAT level 2 Foundation Certificate in<br />
Accounting. In order to achieve this apprenticeship,<br />
you will need to show that you have the knowledge<br />
and technique appropriate to this role.<br />

About the apprenticeship<br />
As a Business Administrator apprentice, you will<br />
develop a transferable set of skills and techniques<br />
that can be applied in all sectors.<br />
You will learn about small and large businesses<br />
across the public, private and charitable sectors. Your<br />
apprenticeship could involve working independently<br />
or as part of a team to develop, implement, maintain<br />
and improve administrative services. This will<br />
support your progression towards a management<br />
role.<br />
