Entry requirements<br />
> 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English &<br />
maths. If you do not have grade 4 or above in both subjects,<br />
the minimum for the other subject is grade 3.<br />
or<br />
A full Level 2 at Merit grade or above with maths<br />
& English grades equivalent to those stated<br />
above. Students with grade 3 in either English or maths will be<br />
expected to re-take that subject in Year 1.<br />
> Demonstrate creative flair at your interview<br />
and be highly motivated with a keen interest<br />
in graphic design, photography and/or moving<br />
image.<br />
> You will be invited to attend a ‘taster’ session to<br />
find out more about the course.<br />
About the course<br />
On this challenging and exciting course, you will gain<br />
a diverse range of skills, through mul<strong>time</strong>dia projects<br />
that can be used in any creative job. Key topics<br />
include graphic design, typography, photography,<br />
image manipulation, video productions, green<br />
screen filming and animation as well as using Adobe<br />
Creative Suite.<br />
You will work towards an employer set brief, planning<br />
a production piece, managing the process through<br />
to completion, while devising creative solutions. This<br />
course will also give you valuable transferable skills<br />
such as report writing, presenting work, collating<br />
research, <strong>time</strong> management and teamwork.<br />

About the course<br />
Are you creative and love gaming? On this course,<br />
you will learn 3D modelling & animation techniques<br />
and how to create 2D graphics using industrystandard<br />
software including Unreal Engine, Autodesk<br />
3DS Max and Adobe Photoshop. You will also study<br />
Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo games consoles<br />
and get the chance to work to a client-set brief, to<br />
promote their product.<br />
Previous students have had the opportunity to<br />
visit events such as EGX, the UK’s largest gaming<br />
convention, to keep up-to-date with new technology<br />
and advances in the industry.<br />
