> 2 GCSEs at grade 3, to include English. Maths
must be at grade 2 or above.

About the course
Kickstart your career on a course that has been
designed to provide insight into the exciting world
of Travel and Tourism. Whether you are interested in
aviation, hospitality, retail or marketing, we can help
your career take off! Benefit from simulated working
in our mock aircraft cabin where you can put your
new-found skills to the test.
You will be introduced to the importance of the UK’s
Travel & Tourism industry, while exploring the inner
workings of airlines, airports and hospitality and
the service they provide. You will research familiar
destinations around the world to examine key
tourism resorts within Europe, America and Australia.
Study visits form an integral part of the course and
you will be required to contribute towards the cost.
You will also be required to wear a uniform for visits.
Entry requirements
> 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English &
maths. If you do not have grade 4 or above in both subjects,
the minimum for the other subject is grade 3.

A full Level 2 at Pass grade or above with maths
& English grades equivalent to those stated
above. Students with grade 3 in either English or maths will be
expected to re-take that subject in Year 1.

About the course
Take your studies to new heights and gain the skills
needed to provide memorable travel experiences.
On this course, you’ll become an industry expert,
able to understand the business and marketing
behind the tourism sector. You will develop a deeper
understanding of the importance of the UK’s Travel &
Tourism industry, while exploring the inner workings
of airlines, airports and hospitality. You will also
gain customer service experience through practical
demonstrations and role play. There is even a mock
aircraft cabin where you can simulate working and
put your new-found skills to the test. You will focus
on key areas of the industry including customer
service, retail operations, cabin crew, specialist
tourism and marketing.
