Saturday 4th <strong>Dec</strong>ember, 10am–2pm, sees the<br />

return of <strong>Arnold</strong> Library’s Christmas Craft Fair<br />

and Santa’s Grotto. Start your Christmas shopping<br />

or treat yourself from a variety of crafts created by<br />

local crafters. This is a free event so come along<br />

and take a look at what’s on offer. There is no charge<br />

to see Santa, but spaces are limited so you will need<br />

to book. Tickets are available from <strong>Arnold</strong>, Calverton<br />

or Gedling Libraries.<br />

We will also have a lovely range of both children’s<br />

and adults Christmas books available so why not<br />

pop in for a seasonal read or two?!<br />

<strong>Arnold</strong> Library’s opening times are:<br />

Mon - Fri 9am – 6pm & Saturday 9am – 4pm<br />

All libraries close at their normal time on Thursday<br />

23rd <strong>Dec</strong>ember and will re-open at the usual<br />

opening time on Tuesday 4th <strong>Jan</strong>uary.<br />

Wednesday 19th <strong>Jan</strong>uary, 10:30 – 11:30, sees our<br />

first Author Visit since the pandemic struck. We<br />

are pleased to welcome Sarah Ward for an informal<br />

talk over a cuppa. Sarah is a local author, whose<br />

DC Childs crime series is set in the Peak District.<br />

Her latest book The Shadowing is set between<br />

Bristol and Southwell Workhouse and sees the lead<br />

character Hester, a Quaker, set out on a journey to<br />

discover what happened to her sister who eloped a<br />

few years earlier. Tickets are £3 and bookings can<br />

be made through Eventbrite or at your local library.<br />

Study tables, comfortable seating, drinks machine<br />

and the café area along with our regular events are<br />

all back for your pleasure. We are still encouraging<br />

the wearing of face coverings, but this is personal<br />

choice.<br />

face courses in our libraries in addition to our online<br />

offer. Our exciting spring programme which will<br />

be published soon – you should receive a brochure<br />

through your letterbox soon. If you don’t receive<br />

one at home, please pick one up at your local library.<br />

Regular Free Events, there is no need to book, just<br />

turn up and have fun with like minded people.<br />

Rhyme, Rattle & Roll – Singing, rhymes and even a<br />

bit of dancing with your Under 3s, every Tuesday and<br />

Thursday morning 10:30 – 11:00am<br />

Knit & Natter – Knit, Crochet and chat over a cuppa<br />

with likeminded people. Monday 2:00 – 3:30pm<br />

Reading Café – Join our friendly group for a chat<br />

with a cuppa. Wed 10am– 12:00pm<br />
