Kidizens Young Mayors - Build and Run Your Own LEGO® City Immerse yourself in a unique experiential journey as a Young Mayor this summer and build your own dream LEGO® city! During our excitement-packed camps, the Young Mayors collaboratively embark on a guided discovery of civic and economic concepts, while building, managing and governing a fully-functioning LEGO® city. While role-playing as leaders and problem-solving many real world challenges, the Young Mayors develop 21st century real-life skills and leadership strategies. Create a mystery machine to amaze your family and friends. Build a Rube Goldberg machine to do a simple task in an overly complex way. Perform mysterious magic tricks with the amazing power of magnets. Use the 360 degrees of a circle to make beautiful art. As you build your contraptions you will learn about amazing innovators and inventors who have made a big impact in science, technology, engineering math and the arts. Order our kit of STEM materials ($60) prior to the start of camp. We do group activities with everyone for the first 30 minutes before breaking into smaller groups for separate activities, including one art project led by the counselor. Junior Chef Stars These all day camps have 2 different offerings each day! Each discription is broken up into 2 parts, the first is for the morning session and the second is for the afternoon session! Please note: all camps have a $100 material fee due on the first day of camp. Cupcake Masters / Flavorful Fusions Cupcake Masters (AM) Your child will learn the ways of a true cupcake artist! Students will mix, bake, design and complete delectable cupcakes that will showcase their creativity and taste divine! Flavorful Fusions (PM) Lucky for us, foods find each other, new traditions emerge. Each recipe combines exciting flavors from at least two different culinary traditions and cultures. This camp will leave you feeling like you’ve just tasted the future after trying these delicious mashups. There is a $100 material fee due at the first day of camp. From crumb coats to fondant, your junior chef will create their very own delicious cake creations. Fantasy Foodies (PM) You don’t need a mouse under your chef hat to do the work for you. We will be exploring recipes from some of your favorite animated movies. The dishes in this hands on cooking camp are sure to bring magic to any kingdom. If perfecting the art of baking is your mission, join us for this camp! Street Eats (PM) Go on an international journey of delicious, homemade street foods - made by you! This international street food cooking extravaganza will have you trying your hand at making street foods from all over the world. There is a $100 material fee due at the first day of camp.
