Hagan, Sr., and his lovely Lady Joyce. Our Rajah Shrine GermanBand and the Rajah Nobelaires were delighted to entertain for everyone at the Installation of Officers’ ceremony. We ended the set with“Old Comrades,” which is quite fitting because we are your friends, especially friends that you can share a difficult situation with. Pleaseknow that our musicians are behind you, and we are looking forward to supporting your programs.Our band typically meets on the 2nd and 4th Sunday at 1 p.m. at the complex. We would like to invite musicians to come out andrehearse with us. Nobles, please bring your Lady along and she may also sit in on the fun and fellowship. We hope to promote a concerton May 1st. More details to follow at a later time.Thanks to everyone who purchased a lottery calendar for our annual fund raiser. SirGreg Lewis, PPPROVOST GUARDAs someone who has only been in our Provost Guard for a few years, our President, Noble JonSchneider, did an excellent job in leading us through 2021. Noble Jon was on the ball in communicatingwith the members and leading us in right direction. During the year we helped at the Pote’s Picnic, theRajah Pretzel Bowl, the Sportsman’s Raffle and manning the doors at the December Ceremonial. We hada very good year and his follow through on our assignments was exemplary.We ended the year with our annual Ladies Night dinner and the largest crowd in years at Giannotti’sCountry Manor. We can only hope that this year will be even better and we celebrate the opportunity tobe of help to our Potentate and Divan.With lots of uncertainty early in the year, we went ahead with our plans for the traditional SpaghettiDinner in October, as we had to cancel it the year before, but all went well and we had ample volunteers tostage a successful fundraiser for our much depleted treasury.We were extremely pleased to have several of our brother Units come out and support us. Many of theNobles were headed to the parade in Topton and they all went with a full belly of wholesome nourishment to sustain them throughthe night. Thank you to everyone who came out. Be sure to put the date on your new calendar, Saturday, October 9th for this year’sProvost Guard Spaghetti Dinner.As the year sped by and there was the danger of having to adapt again to another new normal, we persevered and continued onour course. Plans were made and we were ready to fulfill our parking duties at the circus, but alas, the circus was cancelled and weimmediately began planning for the future Rajah events.With all that has happened last year, we did mange to see our Illustrious Sir Kraig Leiby a few times at our meetings, and wewould like to thank our Liaison Officer, High Priest & Prophet Don Heimbecker, for keeping us informed of temple happenings andstaying the course in helping us when and where needed. Thank you, Noble Don.For now it’s a big tip of the Fez to Illustrious Sir Kraig and his Lady Janet for all of their support during last year and we wishthem only the best going forward. To our newest Potentate, the Illustrious Sir Joe Hagan and Lady Joyce, we wish you all the bestfor a most successful year and, rest assured, we will be there to help you anytime or any place you so desire us to be.The new member sign is out again, so if you need a place to go on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m., we meet in theAll-Purpose Room at the Rajah Complex. As 2021 came to a close, threenoteworthy events happened for the Tin Lizzies, and they happenedon the same day.The Ceremonial and the club’s Christmas Banquet & LadiesNight took place on December 11. To start with, the Ceremonialclass was named in honor of a Tin Lizzie, Noble Sam Ellis (who iswriting this article). Secondly, during the check presentations, clubTreasurer Dale Reinert presented Illustrious Sir Kraig Leiby withthree checks totaling $11,000 to be disbursed among the hospital,transportation fund and Rajah. It’s the largest donation thatthe club has ever made. That evening, at the club’sChristmas Banquet, Noble Lee Marsh was presentedwith a Man of the Year plaque for his outstandingcontributions to the club throughout the year. Thepresentation was made by the 2020 recipient, RichardStefanovic. Also at the event, President Larry Silfies2021 Tin Lizzie Man of theYear Lee Marshpresented Illustrious Sir with the traditional slate clock engraved with his 2021 Pote’s seal.In all, the day’s events were a fitting close to the year.Looking forward, the Officers and Nobles of the Tin Lizzies are anticipating a busy2022 with our shoofly pie baking project that begins this month.Congratulations to outgoing potentate Ill. Sir Kraig Leiby and Lady Jane for amomentous year.
