Art Director
For fashion models, an art director is an extremely
important person. After all, he is a customer and hires
a photographer and the entire staff involved in filming.
Some art directors are "hired", others are on the staff of
specialized stores, advertising agencies.
An art director working for a retail trade can run up to
six orders per hour. For those involved in advertising, the
pace is much slower - perhaps just one program every six
months. An art director should not only have extraordinary
creative abilities but also be a business person: he is fully
responsible for filming. He has a lot of worries: not to
exceed the cost estimate, to finish filming on time, to fulfill
the terms of the agreement with the hired professionals,
and even to please his colleagues and please the boss.
The art director gives the idea and directs the filming. In
his office, he has to finish what he started by creating an
advertisement. If this is a fashion photo advertisement,
