Who is Adebola Williams?
Adebola Williams is a
household name and at the
forefront of the intersection
of media, democracy, and
social change in Nigeria. He is
the Chief Executive Officer of
RED, which owns Africa’s largest
portfolio of youth media brands
that engage millions of youths
on the continent, including Red
Media Africa, StateCraft, the
Future Awards Africa, and YNaija.

In 2010, Williams co-founded
EnoughisEnough (EiE), one
of Nigeria’s prominent civic
participation groups and
a political voice for young
people. He carved out a rather
interesting niche for himself
that is a fusion of politics and
communication – and has
become a master political
strategist.
He handled the rebranding
of current Nigerian president,
Muhammadu Buhari, In 2014
– and is credited for winning
the election for the opposition.
His achievements in Nigeria
which enabled a rebranded
Muhammadu Buhari to win the
presidential election he had lost
three times before, improved his
portfolio remarkably.
In 2016, the opposition in
Ghana hired his services to
help their candidate win the
presidential elections – and they
won – after two unsuccessful
attempts. He has no doubt
become the magic wand of
African politics and was again
behind the rebranding and
remarkable win for Macky Sall in
Senegal in 2019.
