Maintaining an exercise routine<br />
at home or in a hotel room can<br />
seem more like a ‘should’ than a<br />
‘want to.’ However, even a small<br />
amount of activity can make a<br />
huge difference to how well you<br />
think and feel.<br />
In fact, exercise is one of the<br />
most powerful tools we have for<br />
staying physically and mentally<br />
healthy—and you don’t need<br />
access to a gym or expensive<br />
health club to reap the rewards.<br />
These simple stay-at-home<br />
exercises will work wonders within<br />
a short period of time – and trust<br />
us when we say you do not have<br />
to leave your bedroom (or living<br />
room) to perform the exercise.<br />

Squats<br />
Squats work several muscle<br />
groups -- your quadriceps<br />
(“quads”), hamstrings, and<br />
gluteals (“glutes”) -- at the same<br />
time.<br />
How to: Keep your feet<br />
shoulder-width apart and your<br />
back straight. Bend your knees<br />
and lower your rear as if you<br />
were sitting down in a chair.<br />
Your weight should be evenly<br />
distributed on 3 points of your<br />
feet -- heel, outside ball, inside<br />
ball -- that form a triangle.<br />
Your knees won’t stay in line with<br />
your ankles that way, but there<br />
will be less strain on other parts<br />
of your body. Add dumbbells<br />
once you can do 12 reps with<br />
good form.<br />
