4.5 A yacht that enters IRC but does not possess a
current IRC certificate by the day of the first race in
which she intends to sail, shall notify the Race Officer,
and may only race in the Cruiser Class (if she holds a
current SWYTC certificate)
4.6 A yacht or boat shall not change classes during a
series and may only race in one class during a series.
4.7 An entrant who changes a sail number, boat or
hull or substantive change to the boat that may affect
the racing, must notify the OA in writing by completing
a new entry online, no additional fee will be payable.
4.7.1 Yachts qualifying for the Coastal class may enter
that as an additional class.
4.7.2 An SB20 boat entering the Sportsboat Handicap
Class will automatically be entered in the SB20 Class.
4.7.3 There is no additional fee applicable to either 4.7.1
or 4.7.2.
4.8 Race Duties - by entering the 2022 Club Racing
programme covered by this NoR, all entrants agree to
undertake committee boat or safety boat duties.
4.9 Junior Race Duties - the person signing the
parental consent form assumes the duty obligations.
4.10 If the entrant is unable to undertake their
designated or agreed duty, they may pass this duty
to one of their crew, as long as that person is suitably
qualified for the role.
4.11 Parent/Guardian Declarations: All helms and crews
under 18 years of age during the event shall submit
signed Parent/Guardian Declarations as part of the
entry process and submit details of the parent(s) acting
in loco parentis.
5 FEES
5.1 Entry fees for the full programme of races shall be
as follows:
5.1.1 Junior classes £40.00
5.1.2 All other classes £75.00
5.1.3 Helms under 18 on January 1st 2021 £40.00
5.2 Entry fees for a single race will be £10.00
(£5.00 Juniors)
5.3 Entry fees for a single series of races will be £20.00
(£10.00 Juniors)
5.4 There are no additional entry fees for Smugglers
Run, Eddystone Night Race, Jubilee Club Regatta,
New Year’s Day Race or Bills Goblet.
5.5 Entries and payment must be received no later
than 12.00 on Friday before a Sunday race and by 12.00
on Wednesday before a Wednesday race.
6 CREW LIMITATIONS
6.1 To score series points the helm of the entered boat
in at least 75% of the race must be a full member of
RTYC.
6.2 Named helms are required to be declared for each
Junior Handicap Class series (see Section 15.8 below –
Scoring)
6.3 Eligibility for the Crews Race is limited to boats
helmed by a crew member who has crewed in not
less than 50% of the races that boat sailed in 2022.
Crews are not eligible if they have previously helmed
in more than 30% of the races that the boat has
during 2022.
7 ADVERTISING
7.1 (DP) Boats may be required to display advertising
chosen and supplied by the OA.
7.2 (DP) Advertising will comply with World Sailing
Regulation 20.
8 QUALIFYING SERIES AND FINAL SERIES

9 SCHEDULE
9.1 The Club Racing Programme 2022 is displayed
on the Official Noticeboard on the club website and
available at the club.
9.2 Racing for IRC, Cruisers, Sportsboats and PY
Dinghy classes will be on Sunday morning, and for all
classes including Juniors on Wednesday evenings.
9.3 Details of Coastal races will be in the Racing
Programme (see 9.1 above)
9.4 Coached Racing for Junior Handicap Classes will
take place on Saturdays.
9.5 Times of First warning signals will appear in the SIs
9.6 Number of races (see Table 1 over the page)
10 EQUIPMENT INSPECTION
10.1 A valid measurement certificate, rating or
handicap certificate shall be held at all times by each
boat for the class for which she is entered and shall
produce it if requested to do so by the OA.
10.2 Any changes to IRC Rating or SWYTC certificates
shall be notified to the OA by submitting a new entry
not less than 24 hours before the scheduled warning
signal of the next race of the series. There is no
additional fee.
10.3 The South West Yacht Time Correction System
will be used for all boats entering Cruiser Class Series,
Coastal Class races and the New Year’s Day race 2023.
Details on how to apply for this free certificate can be
found on the club website.
10.4 White Sail declarations for each series shall made
to the OA prior to the scheduled warning signal of the
first race of the series to which it applies.
10.5 Handicaps for all classes, other than IRC, Cruiser and
Coastal classes, will be allocated and/or adjusted at the
discretion of the OA with reference to published data.
10.6 (DP) A boat or equipment may be inspected at
any time for compliance with class rules, notice of race
and sailing instructions.
10.7 The fact that race officials may conduct
inspections of a boat does not reduce the
responsibilities of each competitor set out in
this NoR.
