Arena during his January 2019<br />

concert. The show saw the likes<br />

of Nigerian celebrities and fans<br />

travelling all the way to London.<br />

Hours before the show, the<br />

official Twitter page of the O2 Arena<br />

confirmed that the venue was sold<br />

out.<br />

They said, “@davido has<br />

officially sold out at #TheO2<br />

#DavidoatTheO2”. Davido<br />

performed most of his hit songs<br />

with fellow African artistes like<br />

Patoranking, Popcaan, Skiibii, Ckay,<br />

Adekunle Gold, Reekado Banks,<br />

Teni, Pheelz, DJ Ecool, Victony,<br />

Stonebwoy, Focalistic, Mayorkun,<br />

and a couple of artistes from<br />

around the world. The O2 Arena, an<br />

indoor venue in Southeast London<br />

has long been yoked with the<br />

destiny of Nigerian pop music.<br />

The O2, since opening in<br />

2007, has provided the stage for<br />

Nigeria talent. D’Banj, 2face, Tiwa<br />

Savage, and Wizkid, are some of<br />

the nation’s loftiest names to have<br />

performed at the venue, the latter<br />
