We chatted to Desme Daniels about her role as <strong>The</strong> Oaks’ new Care<br />
Manager. “Getting to know residents and their families, and seeing the<br />
happy faces once they are settled in is just so lovely,” she says.<br />
Oceania has always been about so much more than bricks and mortar,<br />
as Desme explains, “Great care looks like home and family. Coming to<br />
<strong>The</strong> Oaks you get to be surrounded by staff who quickly become your<br />
friends, and whilst the clinical care is excellent, because we don’t look like<br />
a hospital or feel like a hospital or clinic, you sometimes don’t even realise<br />
how well cared for you are.”<br />
