INTRODUCTION<br />
This report describes current endeavors at the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> <strong>Environmental</strong><br />
<strong>Center</strong>’s (USAEC’s) Pollution Prevention and <strong>Environmental</strong> Technology<br />
Division (P2&ETD) during fiscal year (FY) 2000. These project summaries will<br />
help readers to better understand the division’s efforts and capabilities.<br />
Technology is a major weapon in the <strong>Army</strong>’s efforts to both defend the nation<br />
and sustain its environment. Through the programs described in this report,<br />
USAEC gives the <strong>Army</strong> access to the most effective and affordable<br />
environmental tools available.<br />
P2&ETD has retained its focus on conservation, compliance and cleanup<br />
technologies, bolstering the <strong>Center</strong>’s commitment to saving money and quickly<br />
putting innovative ideas to work for its <strong>Army</strong> and Defense Department<br />
customers.<br />
