leveraging of funds from the <strong>Army</strong>, Navy and Air Force. The <strong>Environmental</strong><br />
Protection Agency donated significant support. Other agencies dedicated<br />
numerous in-house personnel hours toward the effort.<br />
The document was released on the Web at www.frtr.gov/matrix2/<br />
top_page.html in November 1997. A poster version of the Screening<br />
Matrix became available in June 1998.<br />
The document is an electronic Web file, so there is no conveniently<br />
accessed paper version. Links and information must be continually<br />
monitored.<br />
It has been three years since a major overhaul of the guide has taken place.<br />
There are a variety of new technologies, innovations and contaminants of<br />
concern that must be accounted for in the document. An effort will be<br />
kicked off in fiscal year 2001 to drastically update and refine the data and<br />
format of the guide.<br />
