Sonning Tennis Club<br />

As part of the village Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Sonning Lawn Tennis Club held a fun tennis session for juniors<br />

run by the club's Lawn Tennis Association coaches Rob Stone and Rob Velo. <strong>The</strong> children had a great time and the club<br />

is grateful to the Sonning Fire Brigade fund for their donation which paid for the coaches.<br />

Charvil female voices new project<br />

Charvil's, Project Singers, are recruiting for their autumn<br />

term project — 'Home for Christmas', a concert to be held on<br />

17 December — plus some local carol singing.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Project Singers have a section for girls between the 10<br />

and 18 years who rehearse on Sundays, 6.15 - 7.45pm, and a<br />

ladies section who meet on Mondays 8.00-9.30pm.<br />

Informal auditions are being held in <strong>July</strong>.<br />

Make a date for the Sonning Show<br />

This year's Sonning Village show is on Saturday 10<br />

September at Sonning CofE Primary School. <strong>The</strong> schedules<br />

will be available shortly. Entries have to be submitted on the<br />

day of the show, 10am - 12 noon. <strong>The</strong> Fete starts at 2pm.<br />

Love is all you need<br />

A fun singing afternoon for female voices led by Suzanne<br />

Newman in tribute to the Beatles is being held in Charvil<br />

Village Hall on Saturday 3 September, 2-4pm. For more<br />

information contact Suzanne newman (details on the left).<br />
