Macomb County Community Infant Mental Health Team toured the Chaldean Community Foundation following their<br />

Post-Partum Depression Town Hall.<br />

Breaking Down Post-Partum Depression<br />

The Chaldean Community Foundation hosted a Post-Partum Depression Town Hall live on Facebook on July 12.<br />

The program was presented by the Macomb County Community Infant Mental Health team, which provided tips<br />

and resources for mothers experiencing post-partum depression. Topics included the signs and symptoms of<br />

post-partum or perinatal depression, causes of post-partum depression, and community resources.<br />

Nothing But Net<br />

The CCF hosted its first ever Youth Basketball Camp for guys and girls from Grissom<br />

Middle School.<br />

28 sixth and seventh grade students have participated in this 10-week summer<br />

basketball camp, designed to be an outlet for physical fitness, provide fundamental<br />

basketball skills, team building activities and a place to socialize and make<br />

new friends.<br />

The camp will be coming to a close in mid-August. For more information regarding<br />

Baby<br />

Extravaganza<br />

The Chaldean Community Foundation<br />

will host an event to provide<br />

resources for new and expecting<br />

mothers on Wednesday, August<br />

3. The event will take place from<br />

3:00pm-6:00pm at the Chaldean<br />

Community Foundation. The Baby<br />

Extravaganza, which will feature<br />

more than 30 exhibitors across<br />

Macomb and Oakland County, will<br />

include many resources, free giveaways,<br />

door prizes, and several<br />

interactive 30-minute demonstrations<br />

on best practices regarding<br />

childcare and child development.<br />

A “Touch a Truck” police car<br />

and fire truck will be on-site for<br />

kids to interact with, and we will<br />

serve up ice cream for the whole<br />

family. The event is free for those<br />

who attend. Strollers are welcome.<br />
