Bio
A photographer based in East London, driven by his passion for architecture, art,
design and the human form. His photography is inspired by the environment and world
around him, which he uses to showcase a fresh perspective of his subjects. For him
photography is also an art form used to capture special moments in time.
Sokari graduated with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and has an MSc. in Business
Information Technology. He worked for an investment bank in the City of London for
over 16 years, but is now following his passion, for photography.

Convergence
This exhibition showcases architectural photography as an art form and demonstrates photography’s
ability to capture a view often missed. Sokari demonstrates that a single perspective can portray
more than just a building. Each image reflects its context and the light, symmetry, and colour that
conditions it’s every day. Showcasing different perspectives of architecture around the world, this
exhibition highlights how certain structures come into their own when photographed from a point of
view.

Kings Cross London
The original Station was designed by
architect Lewis Cubitt and opened in
1852. In 2012, the new western
concourse was designed by John
McAslan + Partners, in consultation
with Arup. This opened up the front of
the station, as the original architect
intended in 1852, creating the largest
new public square in London in recent
years.

The Harp
A combined cable-stayed and
bascule bridge (Erasmus Bridge),
in Rotterdam. It crosses the
Nieuwe Maas in the centre of
Rotterdam, connecting the north
and south parts of this city.

The OCA
Designed in 1951 by architect Oscar
Niemeyer, the OCA is an exhibition
space with over ten thousand square
meters, in São Paulo, Brazil. Its official
name is Lucas Nogueira Garcez
Pavilion, named after the engineer
and Brazilian politician of the 1950s.

Ibirapuera Auditorium (II)
The auditorium is a building conceived
by Brazilian Architect Oscar Niemeyer,
situated in Ibirapuera Park in Sao
Paulo, Brazil. The building has a
volumetric simplicity, composed of a
single block but has the form of
trapezoid and in some aspects, the
form of a triangle.

Uneven
A residential building in Battersea -
London, by architect Frank Gehry. His
first housing project in the UK. It
contains two buildings with a total of
over 300 homes, called “Prospect
Place” the development is part of the
regeneration of the iconic Giles Gilbert
Scott-designed Battersea Power
Station on the banks of the River
Thames.

Umeda Sky Building
“Umeda Sukai Biru” is the 19 th tallest
building in Osaka, Japan. It consists of
two 40-story towers that connect at
their two uppermost stories, with
bridges and an escalator crossing the
wide atrium-like space in the centre.
Designed by Hiroshi Hara. Completed
in 1993.

apartments by architects

Porta Sempione
A city gate of Milan, this neoclassical
triumphal arch, 25 m high and 24 m
wide, is decorated with bas-reliefs,

The MAC
The MAC - Niterói is a museum of
contemporary art in the city of Niterói,
