INDUSTRIAS GUIDITo build the Zarate plant IG decided to havea future looking design in its architecture. TheEV+PP Architectural Study (Egozcue Vidal +Pastorino Pozzolo) was in charge of the designand project of the new building. The maincriteria was to optimize the construction`sfunctionality by creating a logic of modulesat different levels affecting the ground andheight. The idea was to generate dynamismin the aspect of the whole place providing aninnovative image with high quality architecturalstandards. In this way IG left behind the typicalimage of warehouses or factories often seenin industrial buildings. Another main assetfor the new plant was the light fixture factor.Designing different levels allowed the entranceof daylight in a much optimized way all of whichwas previously calculated with special lightingcomputerized programmes. The objective wasto quantify the use of daylight within the lightfixture and its impact in the production areas.17
