During this last decade IG also expanded
its understanding of the importance of an
excellent performance to other areas of the
company not related to production processes.
Specifically, regarding business governance
and social investment. Some of the initiatives
were: redefining the Mission, Vision and Values,
implementing a code of conduct, giving
the young training opportunities through
professional practices, encouraging employees
to finish secondary school, creating a sense of
community inviting team member children and
retired personnel to in plant activities, volunteer
activity participation and the development of
better internal communication channels.
The implementation of a Sustainability Policy
allowed for IG to become a positive change
promotor for its community and for the
environment.
