Clothes Closet
United Church, 30 E. Columbus St.,
Mount Sterling, is hosting a giveaway 9
a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 25-27, weather permitting.
The Clothes Closet is located in the garage
behind the church. All are welcome. Available
items include clothes for men, women
and children, as well as miscellaneous
household items. Social distancing is required.
Masks are optional for those who
are fully vaccinated. Hand sanitizer will be

London High School Reunion
A reunion for London High School’s
Classes of 1959, 1960, 1961, and 1962 is
planned for Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. The classes
will be introduced at half-time of the high
school football game on Sept. 30. Festivities
on Oct. 1 will take place from 12 to 5 p.m.
in the Coughlin Community Center at the
Madison County Fairgrounds, 205 Elm St.
Dress is casual. A deejay will play tunes.
Free pizza for everyone; bring your own
drinks and containers for drinks. RSVP by

Madison-Plains Alumni
The Madison-Plains Alumni Association
will host their first all-alumni banquet on
Sept. 17 in the Della Selsor Building on the
Madison County Fairgrounds, 205 Elm St.,
London. Tickets are $45 per person. Reservations
are due by Sept. 1. Social hour
starts at 6 p.m. Dinner starts at 7 p.m.

The Madison Soil and Water Conservation
District monthly board meeting for August
will be held a week later than usual at
8 a.m. Aug. 17 in the Madison County Engineer’s
Office conference room, 825 U.S.
Hwy. NE, London. The public is welcome.
Developmental Disabilities
Board Meeting
The Madison County Board of Developmental
Disabilities will meet at 4 p.m. Aug.
18 at the administrative office, 500 Elm St.,
London. In the event the meeting needs to
be rescheduled, it will take place on Aug. 25.
