Welcome
Hello and welcome to our
new-look wine brochure.
Hopefully, as the summer season
draws to a close, you’ll have
time for some respite, to reflect
on the busy season and give
your staff a well needed rest.
It’s also the perfect time to start
considering your wine list ahead
of Christmas and New Year.
Given the current backdrop
of political uncertainty, rising
inflation, and cost of living
pressures, knowing how to
make the most of your wine
list and deliver the most profit
for your business is essential.
As consumers become more
careful with their spending and
indulgences, making the most
of each sale will help make your
business a success.
Achieving the perfect wine list
may seem like a complex job
that no one has time for but
we’re here to take the pressure
off you with some excellent
offers and some ideas which we
hope you’ll find useful.
In this issue, we’ve included
amazing bin end deals on
fantastic house wines, some
familiar faces in our best offers
section, and interesting articles
written by our very own Wine
Development Managers.
Finally, I would like to bring your
attention to a couple of national
wine days, an excellent excuse
to celebrate and sample some of
our delicious wines. I’ve included
a few of my favourites below.
If you have any questions that
aren’t answered in the following
pages, please remember that our
Wine Development Managers
support you and your business.
What I’m drinking...
2
My wine of the moment is
Agustinos Pinot Gris from Chile’s
Bío Bío valley, one of the regions
most southerly vine growing areas.
Pinot Gris is more commonly
known as Pinot Grigio but tends
to be more fruit driven and this
luscious example shows apple
and stone fruit flavours with a hint
of melon all enhanced by some
oak ageing, perfect for al fresco
drinking or as an accompaniment
to Asian-inspired dishes.
What I particularly love about
this hidden gem is how it always
surprises friends, colleagues and
customers and shows what Pinot
Gris is capable of producing;
a great wine for any Pinot Grigio
lover looking to try something new.
