you can get to know her better.

How long have you worked at the
brewery / in telesales?
Next year will be my 15th year at the brewery
– and all of those have been in telesales. I was
taken on initially as maternity cover, and all
these years later I am still here (so I must be
doing something right!)
Do you look after any groups in particular?
I am the go-to ‘groups girl’. I look after tenants
for Heavitree Brewery, the Enlighten Group,
and also Heartstone Inns. As well as these, I
am responsible for a couple of national groups:
the Stable Restaurants & Bars (including one
in Birmingham) and three Three Joes outlets
(including one in Sheffield). Because these
customers are spread far and wide, order input
accuracy is essential!
What made you want to work for the
brewery?
Being a Cornish girl, I knew that the brewery
had an excellent reputation as an employer. I
wanted to be part of a true Cornish company
that I could be proud to say I work for.

What is your favourite drink?
I’m currently enjoying No.10 Malbec from
Argentina. This is a new wine to join our
existing portfolio: bold, rich, and spicy in
style. Bursting with blueberry and blackberry
flavours – delicious.
What is your favourite St Austell beer and
why?
Our brand-new cask beer brand, Anthem, is a
lovely, fresh, and light golden pale ale. It’s easy
drinking at 3.8% and brewed with 100% British
ingredients.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not
at work?
Now my son is at university, it is just me and
the dog! She is a working cocker spaniel called
Ruby. We can often be found in the local
woods where Ruby particularly enjoys sniffing
out the rabbits!

What do you enjoy most about your job?
As my telesales colleagues will all tell you, we
are a fantastic team! We all support each other
and enjoy a laugh to help us through the busy
days in the office (I am quite often the butt of
the jokes – that’s mainly down to Neil).
