Wolf Wines<br />
Painted Wolf is a winery with a purpose,<br />
founded in 2006 by Jeremy and Emma<br />
Borg, both committed conservationists.<br />
Their objective is to create wines from some<br />
of South Africa’s prime sites – including<br />
Stellenbosch, Paarl and Swartland, with<br />
a focus on sustainable, organic and<br />
conservational farming. Their social<br />
obligations include working closely with<br />
the local communities and charities across<br />
South Africa.<br />
Painted Wolf Wines have created a benchmark for<br />
modern winemakers to create both incredible wines,<br />
made in a socially conscious way. Using 20-year-old<br />
bush vines, there is a fabulous concentration of flavour<br />
to this Chenin Blanc. Made using French oak barrels,<br />
natural wild yeast and a slow fermentation, this wine<br />
oozes elegance with a full-bodied mouthfeel and<br />
luscious texture. Aromas of fresh peach, melon, citrus<br />
and vanilla, with a creamy finish on the palate. This<br />
wine has a layered level of complexity and is drinking<br />
beautifully now. Pairs well with pork dishes and robust<br />
fish dishes.<br />
