We are passionate about making sure you are ready for work when you leave us.<br />
Industry experience is an important part of your studies and will help you to stand out from the crowd<br />
when you are applying for university, an apprenticeship or a job.<br />
As a student at Warrington & Vale Royal College, you won’t just spend your time in the classroom;<br />
you will be given the opportunity to work alongside high-profile employers, gaining valuable industry<br />
experience.<br />
All of our students are expected to complete an industry placement, which can range from one day<br />
per week to a one week block or even longer. We have a dedicated Industry Placement Team who will<br />
help you when it comes to finding an employer or organising your placement.<br />
Finding your industry placement<br />
It is a good idea to get ahead of the game and seek-out your<br />
own employer before you start college. Showing you have<br />
the initiative to find your own industry placement is one of<br />
the best ways to enter the world of work, it means that you<br />
get the experience you really want and will help you build a<br />
reputation as a great student and employee too.<br />
The benefits of an industry placement:<br />

• You may even secure a permanent job with the<br />
organisation<br />

INDUSTRY READINESS PROGRAMME<br />
All students will participate in the Industry Readiness Programme throughout tutorial.<br />
This programme has been specifically designed to enhance the employability of students ready<br />
for the world of work. Students can take part in a virtual job interview, build their confidence<br />
through interactive activities and develop skills to design their own digital portfolio.<br />
