APPRENTICESHIPS
Apprenticeships allow you to work and study at the same time. You will combine practical training in
your workplace with studying at college so that you can earn while you learn. We like to call it ‘the
best of both worlds’.
At Warrington & Vale Royal College, we have a dedicated Apprenticeship Team, helping to match
your skills to a suitable position with an employer. We will help you develop your CV and employability
skills, so you are ready to apply for a position as soon as the right one comes along.
Our experienced tutors will guide you through your apprenticeship, with
more than 90% of our apprentices continuing in employment or receiving
a promotion following completion of their apprenticeship.
APPRENTICESHIP ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Entry requirements vary depending on your apprenticeship level and subject. It is recommended to have
a minimum of grade 4 in English and maths. If you have not already achieved a grade 4 in English
and maths, you will need to study towards these as part of your apprenticeship. In some courses,
you will need to achieve a certain level of English and maths, possibly through the completional of
Function Skills, to be able to complete your apprenticeship.
It is not essential to have had previous industry experience, although this is definitely beneficial and
could boost your chances of securing an apprenticeship.
THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS.
