STEWART, Nicola Kirsten (Nicky)<br />
(nee Arnott): Passed away after a<br />
courageous fight with cancer, with loving<br />
family by her side, on <strong>September</strong> 11, <strong>2022</strong>,<br />
at Nurse Maude Hospice, Christchurch,<br />
aged 50 years. Loved wife and best friend<br />
of Matt, much loved and devoted mum of<br />
Robbie, and Evie. Loved and cherished<br />
sister and sister-in-law of Jo, Daniel and<br />
Cameron, treasured daughter of Katrina<br />
and Peter, and a much loved and respected<br />
extended family member, tireless worker in<br />
her community and loved friend to many.<br />
Nicky was the best of us, and we loved her,<br />
our lives are all the better for knowing her<br />
and her kindness. Bringing joy to others was<br />
Nicky’s goal and with her smile lighting<br />
up any room she made life fun. We will<br />
miss you. Heart-felt thanks to the many<br />
friends, family and healthcare workers who<br />
supported us throughout the past 2 years.<br />
Our lives have been made all the better<br />
thanks to your kindness and compassion.<br />

MILITARY EXERCISE<br />

23rd <strong>September</strong> <strong>2022</strong><br />
The general public is to be advised that a New<br />
Zealand Army Exercise will be conducted in the<br />
Burnham, West Melton area over the period 23rd<br />
<strong>September</strong> <strong>2022</strong>.<br />
The exercise will involve up to 30 personnel of<br />
Combat Services Support Company of 2nd 1st<br />
Battalion Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment<br />
from Burnham Military Camp.<br />
Training will involve soldiers carrying rifles and<br />
packs marching between West Melton and<br />
Burnham.<br />
Soldiers will be moving between the hours of<br />
1200 and 1700hrs along public roads. Escort<br />
vehicles will be driving in front of and to the rear<br />
of marching.<br />

MILITARY EXERCISE<br />
Urban Patrol<br />
Thursday 22 <strong>September</strong> <strong>2022</strong><br />
The general public is to be advised that a New Zealand<br />
Army Exercise will be conducted in the central<br />
Rolleston area on Thursday 22 <strong>September</strong> <strong>2022</strong>.<br />
The exercise will involve up to 30 personnel of 2nd/1st<br />
Battalion Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment from<br />
Burnham Military Camp.<br />
Training will involve soldiers patrolling through the<br />
Rolleston shopping area and adjacent residential<br />
areas. The soldiers will be equipped with assault rifles.<br />
These will not be loaded and will be pointed down at<br />
all times. Several soldiers will enter coffee shops in the<br />
area to make purchases.<br />
The soldiers will arrive at McCauley St via military<br />
vehicle at around 0900. Between 0900 and 1200<br />
the soldiers will patrol on foot along Rolleston Dr,<br />
Tennyson St, Markham Way, Dryden Ave and Overbury<br />
Cres. No firing will occur.<br />
The New Zealand Army takes safety seriously and will<br />
ensure the exercise causes minimal disruption to the<br />
community.<br />
