- Searching for Refuge and Community in America
Register for an online conversation between LGBTQ asylum activist Edafe Okporo and Ari Shaw,
Senior Fellow & Director of International Programs at The Williams Institute at the UCLA School of
Law. They will discuss how Edafe Okporo’s experience of seeking asylum in America illustrates some
of the major issues LGBTQ people face in seeking refuge in America today.

Becoming a U.S. Citizen
- With One-on-One Application Help
In an information session led by Ms. Grace Arreola-Muñoz, she will
explain navigate the U.S. citizenship process and the steps required
to become a U.S. citizen. Afterward, attendees can meet with experts
one-on-one to discuss their personal citizenship applications.
