tournament in Hamilton<br />

A first-time finalist, College<br />
quickly took the early lead<br />
to be 22–12 at quarter-time,<br />
before racing to 40–20 at<br />
half-time. In a brilliant performance,<br />
Hunter and Tom<br />
Hunter Adam<br />
combined for College’s first<br />
11 points in the third-quarter<br />
before Braithwaite made a pair<br />
of baskets.<br />
College continued to<br />
dominate the court, pulling<br />
away to claim the Doug<br />
Harford Memorial Trophy<br />
after an unbeaten run at the<br />
tournament. To top off a<br />
remarkable effort, Hunter,<br />
Tom, and Jordan were all<br />
named in the AA Boys<br />
Tournament Team.<br />
10-year plan for<br />
short and<br />
long-term changes<br />

The current consultation, which opened<br />
today, includes planned changes for the<br />
next two to three years. However, Wright<br />
said a 10-year plan is being developed for<br />
short and long-term speed changes.<br />
“We’ve heard community concerns<br />
about vehicles travelling at excessive<br />
speeds through local streets and, to address<br />
these, we’ve been introducing lower<br />
speed limits through the Slow Speed<br />
Neighbourhood Programme,” Wright<br />
said.<br />
“We installed five Slow Speed<br />
Neighbourhoods in the last year, and there<br />
is funding for five more this year and five<br />
in the following year.”<br />
