Lincoln Envirotown’s<br />
Annual Clothes Swap<br />
This popular event will take place<br />
on the evening of Thursday 17th<br />
November at the Lincoln Event<br />
Centre.<br />
This event was hugely successful<br />
last year and large numbers of people<br />
and clothes are expected this year.<br />
People are encouraged to bring their<br />
clothing items (those that we all have,<br />
unused in our cupboards) and drop<br />
them off at designated drop off points<br />
in Lincoln and Rolleston. The times<br />
and locations of these can be found<br />
on Humanitix (Lincoln Clothes Swap)<br />
or Lincoln Envirotown’s Facebook or<br />
website. Those who do these early drop<br />
offs will be given an “Early Bird” ticket<br />
which entitles them and one other, to<br />
early entry on the evening.<br />
Textiles are a major contributing<br />
element to landfill and the longer that we<br />
are able to keep them in circulation the<br />
better. It is a means of helping reduce the<br />
negative impacts of the fashion industry<br />
on our environment.<br />
There is no payment for entry or for<br />
clothes. The event provides a chance to<br />
enjoy changing one’s wardrobe, as well as<br />
keeping resources circulating.<br />
Lincoln Envirotown looks forward to<br />
welcoming everyone and hopes that the<br />
normal busy evening will be enjoyed by<br />
all.<br />
