It’s just not going to be a talked-about affair
without a couple of bottles of Hotel Starlino. With
bottles Inspired by the Art Nouveau architecture of
the distillery - Torino Distillati - located just outside
of Turin - the birthplace of Aperitivo, there are three
flavours and they’re equally appealing. Starlino
Arancione Aperitivo is made with Italian orange
peel, lemon peel and herbs and spices. Starlino
Rosa is a zesty and complex citrus-forward blend of
Italian pink grapefruit, lemon and orange and is an
intriguing bittersweet botanical Aperitivo. Starlino
Rosso Vermouth is a traditional red Vermouth di
Torino - aged in Kentucky Bourbon barrels for a rich,
warm, spicy aroma and flavour. One part Aperitivo,
three parts prosecco or soda, garnished with an
orange or grapefruit slice and plenty of ice.
Add a bottle or two of Monte Stambecco. A rich
golden, bold Italian Amaro liqueur, named after the
ibex - a long-horned mountain goat which roams
the Italian Alps. Bittersweet - it was originally
created to aid digestion, it’s all citrus, cinnamon,
cardamom and cherry. Drink it neat as a premium
shooter, over ice or in a variety of Amaro cocktails.
Then make sure there are half a dozen or so bottles
of Prosecco Rosé DOC Mionetto ... an Italian
Prosecco from the small village of Valdobbiadene.
Extra dry, pale pink, with honey and bread crust
aromas it’s a glass of bubbly heaven.
Finally, based on the premise that if three-quarters
of your cocktail is the mixer, mix with the best!
Fever Tree is a range made with naturally sourced
ingredients, no artificial sweeteners and under 40
calories to create sophisticated yet simple spritzes
with exceptional flavour.
It’s the season of the
cocktail party. And we’re
thinking Amalfi Coast
vibe. Floaty dresses and
high heels with sexy
drinks and Italian
snacks as the sun
goes down. Saluti!
