How long have you worked at the brewery/<br />
in telesales? Have you worked in any other<br />
departments?<br />
I have worked for the brewery for five years –<br />
four of those in telesales and one year as sales<br />
support.<br />
What is your role within telesales? Is there<br />
anything a bit different that you do that<br />
customers might not expect?<br />
We are the first port of call when a potential<br />
new account comes in and when they<br />
open a new account. We will always do an<br />
introductory call, send a welcome pack and<br />
email, and we then look after them for 11 weeks<br />
– having them on our diaries to call before we<br />
hand them over to their permanent telesales<br />
contact.<br />

What do you enjoy most about your job?<br />
The brilliant team members I work alongside<br />
are always up for having a laugh and are always<br />
keen to support each other. You can often hear<br />
me and Lottie having a good sing-along to the<br />
radio!<br />
Do you live close to work?<br />
Yes, I live in Newquay, only 10 minutes away.<br />
What is your favourite drink?<br />
I enjoy a Tarquin’s Rhubarb & Raspberry with<br />
lemonade or an ice-cold Corona!<br />
What is your favourite St Austell Brewery<br />
beer?<br />
Big Job is my favourite.<br />
We ensure the service is consistent and that<br />
they are actually using their account with<br />
us, making sure all their pricing is correct<br />
and that they have all the point of sale they<br />
may need. There are two other people in the<br />
team, one who looks after the north area<br />
(North Devon up to South Wales) and another<br />
covering the south area (Newton Abbot up<br />
to Bournemouth). With regards to pricing<br />
enquiries, they also come to us.<br />

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at<br />
work?<br />
Spending time with my partner (who works on<br />
the dray) and our two boys. I also absolutely<br />
love a good shopping trip followed by lunch in<br />
a local pub.<br />

weekly?<br />
It always varies as we have a smaller diary due<br />
to handing the customers over after 11 weeks.<br />
