RONFIELD Parish Church's enchanting Christmas
Tree Festival has become part of the festive
season for many, and dates have now been confirmed
for this year’s event.
The festival began in 2018 and has taken place every year
since, moving outdoors in 2020 due to Covid-19 rules and just
managing to avoid restrictions last year.
This year’s festival takes place from Friday, 25th November, to
Sunday, 4th December.
Up to 100 decorated trees will be on display, provided by local
churches, groups, schools and businesses, with stalls, music from
school choirs and music groups, children's activities, and festive
refreshments.
Organisers stated: “Last year’s festival provided a seasonal
atmosphere of colour, light and warmth which was much
appreciated, and may be even more so this year.
“The church's grateful thanks go to Drs Jill and Tony Bethell,
whose inspiration, enthusiasm and hard work resulted in the first
Christmas Tree Festival.
“They have passed the baton on this year, but are likely to be
around.”
