Tinwald Cycling Club<br />
Don Morrison chalked up ahard fought<br />
victory in Tinwald Cycling Club’s, Stoked<br />
Cycles, Netherby Meats, 48km handicap<br />
event around the Wakanui Beach block on<br />
Sunday.<br />
The final outcome was decided in the<br />
shadow of the finish line with Morrison getting<br />
up to claim the major spoils.<br />
Kenny Johnston produced his best performance<br />
of the season to secure second<br />
place.<br />
Nina Bradford will be pleased with her<br />
days work, claiming the final podium position.<br />
Dave Shurrock and Liz Wylie were in the<br />
thick of the finish to record fourth and fifth<br />
places respectively.<br />
Scratch mark Michael Audeau led the<br />
chasing group in to record fastest time<br />
honours, riding the distance in 66.47.<br />
Kyle Grey and Thomas Audeau recorded<br />
second and third time.<br />
The juniors and division 2 contested a<br />
16km handicap event.<br />
The juniors result was also decided in a<br />
group sprint, with Honor Bradford having the<br />
final say to lift the silverware.<br />
Louie Audeau made it a good day for<br />
Team Audeau, securing the second place<br />
spoils.<br />
Ryan Gallagher was hot on his heels in<br />
third place.<br />
Charlotte Neal and Isabel Wall filled the<br />
top five spots.<br />
Sixth placegetter Jack Gorrie rode the<br />
course in 28.26 to lift fastest time honours.<br />
Katherine Gorrie took division 2bragging<br />
rights from Janette Hooper.<br />
Next week the Club travels to Mount<br />
Somers to contest a45km handicap event.<br />
