The next exercise is in the key of G. There are several natural harmonic notes in the key of G
and several melodic possibilities as well. Natural harmonics at the 5th, 7th and 12th fret are used.
In measures 1-2 spread the left hand; use the first finger for the 7th fret harmonic and the
fourth finger for the 12th fret harmonic. You will still probably need to move the hand position
up and down the neck to accurately touch the harmonic nodes. This is a delicate technique requiring
extensive practice.
