2012) – Moscow-based<br />
Transaero <strong>Air</strong>lines has selected<br />
Rockwell Collins latestgeneration<br />
PAVES High<br />
Definition Media Server<br />
(HDMS) and Entertainment<br />
Control Panel (ECP) to retrofit on<br />
eight Boeing 767s. Installations<br />
are currently in progress.<br />
Rockwell Collins’ latestgeneration<br />
HDMS is the core<br />
component of its PAVES family<br />
of in-flight entertainment (IFE)<br />
solutions. The HDMS, which<br />
boasts 160 gigabytes of solid<br />
state digital and audio storage<br />
capability enabling multiple prescripted<br />
play periods of<br />
entertainment content, integrates<br />
with the full array of PAVES IFE,<br />
including its new market-first<br />
customizable PAVES 3 in-seat<br />
and overhead video solution.<br />
Rockwell Collins ECP controls<br />
the HDMS and features an easyto-use,<br />
intuitive 16:9 highdefinition<br />
touch-screen with ‘on-<br />
the-fly’ configuration control to<br />
reduce workload for the cabin<br />
crew and maintenance teams. The<br />
ECP not only controls content in<br />
the cabin, it also serves as the<br />
loading platform for all media.<br />

Amadeus<br />
extends its<br />
global content<br />
agreement with<br />
FCm Travel<br />
Solutions<br />

have strengthened their<br />
partnership by renewing their<br />
global content agreement for a<br />
further five years. Under this<br />
agreement, Amadeus content will<br />

Travel Management booking<br />
tool.<br />

Turkish<br />
<strong>Air</strong>lines<br />
continues to<br />
expand its<br />
network in<br />
Africa...<br />
On November, THY will add<br />
Nouakchott, Mauritania to its<br />
network by extending its current<br />
Dakar service to the Mauritanian<br />
capital. It will be the 24th African<br />
destination in Africa, giving<br />
Turkish <strong>Air</strong>lines one of the<br />
Continent's most extensive<br />
networks. The service will<br />
operate three times each week, on<br />
Tuesdays, Thursdays and<br />
Sundays.<br />
