Since the beginning of 2012,<br />
Qatar <strong>Air</strong>ways has launched<br />
flights to Baku (Azerbaijan);<br />
Tbilisi (Georgia); Kigali<br />
(Rwanda); Zagreb (Croatia),<br />
Erbil (Iraq), Baghdad (Iraq),<br />
Perth (Australia) and Kilimanjaro<br />
(Tanzania).<br />
Over the next few months, Qatar<br />
<strong>Air</strong>ways will launch services to a<br />
diverse portfolio of new routes,<br />
including Yangon, Myanmar<br />
(October 3); Maputo,<br />
Mozambique (October 31);<br />
Belgrade, Serbia (November 20);<br />
Warsaw, Poland (December 5)<br />
and Chicago, USA (10 April<br />

<strong>Air</strong>bus<br />
highlights the<br />
future of<br />
aviation at ILA<br />

Show 2012<br />
A320 with Sharklets on show for<br />
the first time in Germany<br />
<strong>Air</strong>bus will showcase a large<br />
number of new developments at<br />
this year’s ILA Berlin <strong>Air</strong> Show<br />
(11-16th September), including<br />
the A320 with Sharklets – fuel<br />
saving wing tip devices - for the<br />
first time in Germany.<br />
Throughout the show media are<br />
invited to visit a customer A380,<br />
a Sharklet equipped <strong>Air</strong>bus A320<br />
as well as the <strong>Air</strong>bus Beluga<br />
transport aircraft in a special<br />
livery on static display. The<br />
world’s most advanced military<br />
airlifter, the A400M, will also be<br />
on static and flying display,<br />
contributing to a major EADS<br />
exhibition of the use of its<br />
products in humanitarian<br />
operations. In addition, the<br />
market leading C295 will be<br />
present at the show with the<br />
Polish <strong>Air</strong> Force.<br />
All EADS company units and the<br />
EADS press centre can be found<br />
under one roof in a centrally<br />
located 1,300sqm EADS Pavilion<br />
in row 7-14. The Pavilion will<br />
focus on new and future aircraft<br />
programmes and include an A350<br />
XWB cut-away model and a<br />
movie theatre showcasing<br />
‘efficiency’. Other models<br />
include the A320neo and the<br />
C295 in <strong>Air</strong>borne Early Warning<br />
(AEW) and Anti Submarine<br />
Warfare (ASW) configurations.<br />
<strong>Air</strong>bus will push the boundaries<br />
of virtual reality by allowing<br />
some lucky winners from the<br />
visiting public to experience<br />
virtually flying an A320. For<br />
current and future talents, a series<br />
of career workshops will be held<br />
throughout the week to discuss<br />
opportunities at <strong>Air</strong>bus..<br />
A special focus on <strong>Air</strong>bus<br />
commitment towards best<br />
environmental practices will be<br />
exhibited at the Alternative Fuels<br />
pavilion (Hall 1). Sustainability<br />
and the proven concept of a<br />
“Perfect Flight” will be the main<br />
themes.<br />
<strong>Air</strong>bus will hold a press<br />
conference at 13.00 on Tuesday<br />
11th September, in the Press<br />
Centre, Hall 5, Room A, followed<br />
by an <strong>Air</strong>bus Military press<br />

Eurolot to Add<br />
Six More<br />
Bombardier<br />
Q400 NextGen<br />
<strong>Air</strong>craft to its<br />
Fleet<br />
TORONTO, ONTARIO--<br />
(Marketwire/AsiaNet Pakistan -<br />
- Bombardier Aerospace<br />
announced that Warsaw-based<br />
Eurolot has converted options on<br />
six Q400 NextGen airliners to a<br />
firm order that will increase its<br />
fleet to 14 Q400 NextGen<br />
aircraft.<br />
Based on the list price of the<br />
Q400 NextGen airliner, the<br />
transaction announced today is<br />
valued at approximately $190<br />
million US.<br />
Eurolot's firm order for eight<br />
Q400 NextGen airliners with 12<br />
options was announced on March<br />
9, 2012, and delivery of the first<br />
aircraft was announced on May<br />
17, 2012.<br />
As previously announced,<br />
Eurolot has joined Bombardier<br />
Commercial <strong>Air</strong>craft's Smart<br />
Parts Program for the Q400<br />
aircraft. The Smart Parts Program<br />
is customized to an airline's<br />
specific operational and dispatch<br />
reliability requirements and<br />
provides the airline with<br />
competitive and predictable<br />
advanced component exchange<br />
and repair costs, as well as<br />
superior availability of key<br />
components.<br />
"Our fleet renewal program and<br />
route expansion are proceeding<br />
very well with Bombardier's<br />
Q400 NextGen aircraft," said<br />
Mariusz Dabrowski, President<br />
and Chief Executive Officer,<br />
Eurolot. "The very competitive<br />
operating costs of the aircraft will<br />
benefit further from the Smart<br />
Parts Program."<br />

Q400 NextGen aircraft program,"<br />

<strong>Air</strong>craft. "This order and others<br />
placed recently are evidence that<br />
the Q400 NextGen aircraft is the<br />
right airplane for today's<br />
extremely tough marketplace.<br />
Some 15 new operators and<br />
leasing companies have joined<br />
the Q400 aircraft family since<br />
2010, with five having acquired<br />
or ordered their aircraft this year.<br />
This growth, which has resulted<br />
in more than 40 operators<br />
worldwide, is indicative of the<br />
