pickleball with this instructional
clinic. A certified pickleball instructor
will teach beginners the basic rules
of the game and how to hit the ball.

This course is designed for players
looking to advance their game. A
certified pickleball instructor will
cover topics including 3rd shot
drops and drives, reflex volleys, push
dink strategies and more. Please

Join the DC Ranch Pickleball Club
for a round robin tournament
(intermediate to advanced players).
Partners will be randomly selected
and change throughout the event.
Players will be scored individually to
determine the tournament champion.

Be on the lookout for a Park Party
coming to your Village!
Travel to Red Rock State Park for a
fun-filled day with the Park Manager.
Residents will enjoy a two-hour
guided hike while learning the best
ways to spot birds, bird watching
etiquette, and how to use binoculars
and field guides. Transportation and
boxed lunch included.
Residents will receive an email invitation with details about
their private park party where neighbors can connect with
each other in the fresh air to enjoy music, games, beverages
and bites all within walking distance of home.

Enjoy a guided group hike on the
Gateway Loop Trail located within
the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. This
4.4 mile trail is rated as moderately
difficult. Please wear appropriate
shoes and bring plenty of water.
Off the Ranch: French Cuisine

Classic Cooking Academy

Food enthusiasts of all levels are invited to learn the art of French cooking.
Residents will make pastry cheese puffs, onion soup, flank steak with
shallots and vinegar sauce, rosemary potatoes, green bean bundles and
cherry clafoutis. Beverages included.

Hand and Foot Canasta
Thursdays
1 to 4 p.m. | Desert Camp
Join other residents for a fun, friendly game. This
variation of Canasta is easy to learn and the group will
teach you along the way.
Pickleball Club

Fridays and Sundays | 8 to 11 a.m.

Desert Camp Courts
Try your hand at a friendly game of pickleball. All levels
are welcome. Please bring a paddle if you have one.
HEALTH &
WELLNESS
To make registration easier for ongoing fitness programs,
residents may purchase classes up to three months in
advance. Registration is now open for all March, April
and May classes. Cost varies per session. $10 drop in.
All Levels Yoga
Monday and Wednesday | 9 to 10 a.m.
The Homestead
This class is suitable for all levels of yoga practice. The class
moves at a slow to moderate pace and offers modifications
so participants can customize the class to fit their specific
needs. Teachers focus on alignment and breathing
techniques to safely stretch and strengthen students. Please
bring a yoga mat, towel and water bottle.
Strength and Balance
Monday and Wednesday | 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The Homestead
This class is designed to work on strengthening and
lengthening your muscles. We will be working on core and
balance to give an all-around workout. A portion of the class
will be done seated on the mat. Light weights and resistance
bands will also be used. This class is designed for all levels.
Please bring a mat or towel and water bottle.
Yoga Basics
Tuesday and Thursday | 9 to 10 a.m.
The Homestead
Designed for the beginner, learn how to incorporate yoga
breathing techniques, body and spinal alignment and how
to properly and safely work your body into different yoga
postures including standing, sitting and balancing poses.
This class focuses on stretching the larger muscle groups,
helping improve flexibility and decreasing risk for injury.
Please bring a yoga mat and water bottle.
Total Body Aqua Fit
Wednesday and Friday | 9 to 10 a.m.
Desert Camp Pool
Water fitness is an excellent way to get a low-impact
cardio workout while toning and strengthening muscles.
Come join in the fun and go at your own pace! Remember
to bring a towel, water bottle and sunscreen.

Desert Camp is the heart of DC Ranch community
activities, events and social gatherings. Stop by to swim,
exercise, have a cup of coffee, meet up with friends or
participate in clubs. Amenities include:

Key fobs can be picked up at Desert Camp with proof of

While most DC Ranch programming is intended for
residents only, there may be an instance where residents
would like to invite a guest. Please contact the program
coordinator listed on the calendar or registration page
to make this request. There are many factors such as
space, capacity, food, beverage, etc. that the program
coordinator must consider for each program and may not
always be able to accommodate the request.
