New York City Highlights
• The Highline This is a really cool urban park which is constructed
on top of an old disused railway line and cuts through the Western
side of Manhattan. It’s a hipster kind of place. Start at the North end
and walk it the whole way down to the West Village.
• The Chelsea Market, well worth a visit especially on an empty
stomach. Sample a huge variety of cuisines and beers from the
various food stalls.
• NYC Restaurant week usually runs twice a year for at least ten
days from mid to end Jan to the beginning of Feb and again in
midsummer, you can avail of incredible value in some of New York
City’s top dining restaurants at a fraction of the normal price.
• Governors Island Offering something for everyone and easily
accessible from Manhattan. In the summertime the Island hosts free
dance and music festivities, live performance and dynamic public
art displays and provides a great day’s visit for all the family.
• Rooftop Bars with a view: there are some really fantastic rooftop
bars that extend amazing views of the city while you relax with
friends and a cocktail. Some of our recommendations would be
“The Press Lounge” at Ink48 Hotel. Also try “The Rainbow Room &
Bar 65 at the Rockefeller Centre” which is a restaurant and a bar
offering incredible views of both downtown and Central Park.
• Music If you love Music then there is no better place than NYC
which is home to many concert venues from the Beacon theatre to
the Barclay Centre, Radio City Music Hall to Madison Square
Gardens.
• Cycle the Brooklyn Bridge A great way to see the surrounding
views of the City, take your time, stop and take a selfie!
• Little Island Opened May 21 – a public floating park on the Hudson
River atop 132 concrete tulips – can be accessed free of charge by
two pedestrian bridges. Offers lush green spaces and scenic views
into Southern Manhattan and New Jersey. Located at Pier 55 in the
meat packing district and Chelsea neighbourhoods of Manhattan
What’s new in the City?
A reimagined Seaport District NYC has welcomed Pier 17 with its
long awaited rooftop entertainment space. The new venue will host
some incredible concerts throughout the year as well as featuring
trendy shops, boutique hotels and culinary concepts which have
infused a new energy into the area.
Hudson Yards has become the newest New York neighbourhood on
the city's westside since opening in 2019. Along with 14 acres of
public open space it has one of the highest outdoor observation
deck “Edge” in the western hemisphere standing at 1100 feet above
ground level. This is where you will find “The Vessel” a monument
structure and visitor attraction.
SUMMIT One Vanderbilt. New York’s newest and most
transformational experience set against the incredible backdrop of
the New York City skyline, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt blends elements
of art and technology within three levels of mind-bending multisensory
immersive experiences, taking the concept of an
